Resurrection

I think Im finally on my way back to a full recovery. Played futsal yesterday morning at hall 2 court with the CE guys. My right leg felt ok and I even took a few hard shots with it. Some shots were a bit too hard, sorry to those who got hit by those shots. Haha. As usual, the sun was scorching. The skin on my shoulders is peeling due to sunburn. After the game, my right calf is a bit sore though.

I miss those days when I play soccer once a week. Hopefully from now onwards, it will be back to those good old days. But then, the exams are coming soon. 2 more weeks to exams! And I haven't even finished my simulation and modelling assignment. Planned to finish it by this weekend but there's only tomorrow left. Wonder if I can get it done. Was too tired to do anything after soccer yesterday.

Went to pray at 光明山 for my great-grandmother this morning since 清明节 is around the corner. How time flies. I was still a primary school kid when she passed away. It was the first time in my life that someone in my family passed away. I was too young to know exactly what was going on then. But I remembered I was doing colouring that day and my uncle called and told my mother that our great grandmother wants to see us. My mother was washing the clothes and we went over when she was done. She didn't expect it to be so urgent as my uncle didn't say it on the phone. My great grandmother passed away a while later after saying her last words. All these happened around 15 years ago and I don't know why I can still remember it. Maybe these are the sort of memories that never fade. That is why it is important to treasure those who you love while they are still alive. It is too late for regrets when they are gone. People nowadays just don't realise that. We only treasure money, a good life, girls/guys, or whatever we can't seem to get. We take the people and things around us for granted. What a sad life we are leading.

Guess what I caught?

A cold! Damn.
Played Sushido yesterday night with Shihan until 11pm and only really got to sleep around 12am. I was sneezing the whole day and feeling weak.

Tried to do the Simulation and Modelling assignments but didn't really manage to do much.
Met Shihan for lunch at 900+ coffeeshop before going to school to collect my FYP report from my professor. For AMENDMENTS! I thought the draft was the end. Now I have to do amendments. Luckily, there are only minor amendments to be done. But then I will have to reprint the report after amending. What a waste of paper and money. After that, I met Feng Cheng at canteen A to collect the dog food I ordered from him. On our way back, we passed by the ALS booth and did a crossword puzzle and "stood to win $40 in Body Shop vouchers". Haha. We got goodie bags though. Nothing much inside, only two packets of 3-in-1 milo powder and two "$1 off Ben's and Jerry's" coupons look interesting. Im not a Ben's and Jerry's fan but I know someone who loves it.

Went to IMM to renew my Maxonline contract under the new Student plan. Only $41.94 per month for Maxonline express after 30% discount and free cable modem or 3000 Starhub reward points. I chose the points since I had a modem. Not a bad deal considering I can save almost $20 a month on my broadband. Offer open to students and NSFs. (Why am I advertising for Starhub?)

Breakfast set DIY

I had ham and egg for breakfast today. I fried them myself. Haha.
Looks a bit like the breakfast set sold in canteen A.
This is my set prepared around 9am.

Went to buy tuna at Giant after my breakfast.
Prepared another set for takeaway around 10.30am.
I broke the egg yolk for this set so it didn't look as nice as the earlier one.

Good friday and the next saturday.

Went to visit Kelvin at my grandma's home the next day (which is today). He looks fine. We had dim sum together with my other cousins Cindy, Candy and my cousin-in-law Ivan. The dim sum was okay, nothing special. Maybe it's because Im not very particular when it comes to food. We spent the rest of the day at my grandma's home and played a bit of mahjong.

I LOST $40 to $50 IN JUST A WHILE! Heartache. I thought they were going to play "small small". 20 cents/40 cents. In the end they played 30 cents/60cents and rounded off to the nearest dollar! Wah lao! Luckily they are my family members so it's ok to lose. If not I won't be able to sleep! Took a few photos with my cousin Audrey too.

Uploaded only a few photos. The rest are in facebook.
Haha. I think Im too old to be doing this.

Can anybody guess the age gap between the 2 of us?

Street soccer

I started playing street soccer again today after a long injury layoff at Taman Jurong with Steven and his friends.
Actually it was Junqin who asked me along but he pang seh me.
Luckily I know some of the others there.

The weather was damn hot.
Just standing around the court without running makes me tired.
And Im no longer as good as before.
I was tired after a while and I don't dare to exert my right leg in case I hurt it again.

There were 3 teams and my team lost most of our matches.
We were the whipping boys. Haha.
I seriously need to improve and get back to where I left off.
But looking on the bright side, at least I didn't aggravate my injury today.
That would have been devastating.

So the only thing for me to do now is to get my fitness level and skill level back by playing more and running more.
But I have to take care not to hurt my leg again.
That sucks.
I just want to play like normal, hope that will be sooner rather than later.

============================================================
I accompanied her for dinner last night at Jurong Point (again).
It's so easy to guess which stall she will patronise.
Isn't it boring to eat from the same stall everyday? Haha.
Although it's different things from the same stall.
She looks nice in the red shirt, much nicer than what she wore the day before. Haha.
But then that was for a performace.

Where to go for grad trip?

Where can I go for my graduation trip?
The whole world is going to Japan.
Im not very keen on going to Japan.
One thing, it's expensive.
I prefer going to some beaches or offshore island.
Wasn't that the inital plan?

Maybe I should just stay at home and sleep. Haha.
Sleep, run, swim, play games.
At most I shall go to sentosa.
Good idea.

She looked moody when I saw met at JP.
She didn't smile and didn't say anything inititally.
I thought she was going to kill me.
I think it's the make up. Scary.
But then, she's just tired. Haha.

I miss playing soccer.

Went for a 4.4km run this morning.
This is the eighth run I have attempted after my one month break from "lower limb activities".
During that month, I swam thrice a week using pull buoys so that I don't have to kick.

I still prefer running.
Im still not very confident about my leg that's why I stopped at 4+km.
To think that I used to run 3 x 6.6km a week before that.
I've been severly weakened.
And when was the last time I played soccer?
3 months? 4 months? I can't remember.
Now I have to start from scratch.

And Im not even sure if my leg can take it.
What if I aggravate it again?
Out for another 2 months?
I won't be able to take that.
My legs are itchy.
I WANT TO MAKE A COMEBACK!
Watching EPL on Football Channel is just not enough.
It only makes me want to play more.
Even Michael Owen is back scoring.
When's my turn??!!

FYP's over!

FYP's over! Or is it?
Anyway, I have submitted my draft report and hopefully I won't have to make any more amendments.

Using "LaTeX" (a document formatting program) is a chore but I guess the outcome is worth it.
I had to skip lessons and work through it the whole of last week. Just for formatting alone!
That left me with little time for the content of the report which is rather poor in my opinion.
But I just want to sing:

解脫
是肯承认这是个错
我不应该还不放手
你(Referring to FYP)有自由走
我有自由好好过

Now is the time to concentrate on the rest of the assignments and the final exam.
Work never ends but at least I have a slight breather for now.
Soon it'll be the end of 4 years.
The start of another 4 years?
Who knows?
Maybe, maybe not.
